Original woodblock print/Originalt japansk træsnit, Fumio Fujita (*1933), motiv: White Boat on the Cape, b: 16 cm h: 14 cm, Original japanese woodblock print (Ukiyo-e). Beautiful contemporary design made in 2012 by Fumio Fujita (*1933) showing a scene from a warm summer night with mosquito repellent incense on the porch of a traditional japanese home. Fumio Fujita is one of the most well-known contemporary sosaku-hanga (creative prints) artist. The artists carved the blocks themselves, which the famous Watanabe publisher of Tokyo then printed on hand-made Torinoko paper. Great for display, either singly or in groups (see my other entries). Print in very good condition, no issues to report. 16 cm x 14 cm + margins as shown.
