Original woodblock print/Originalt japansk træsnit, Takao Sano (*1941), motiv: Autumn i Iyu Izo, b: 16 cm h: 14 cm, Original japanese woodblock print (Ukiyo-e). Beautiful contemporary design made i 1998 by Takao Sano (*1941) This print showing an autumn scene with red leafed tree in the foreground and a village at the shore of a lake. Wonderful design with the pale blue colors of a cold clear morning and the houses and mountains mirroring in the water. The artists carved the blocks themselves, which the famous Watanabe publisher of Tokyo then printed on hand-made Torinoko paper. Great for display, either singly or in groups (see my other entries). Print in very good condition, no issues to report. 16 cm x 14 cm + margins as shown.
