Beautiful Japanese Hagi Chawan (Tea or Matcha Bowl) – Signed & Boxed
Selling a handcrafted Hagi-yaki chawan made by Japanese potter Morishima Kazunobu, from the well-known Kanshōan Kiln.
This is a modern, authentic piece (likely made sometime between the 1990s–2020s) and comes with everything originally included:
• Signed wooden tomobako (box) with the artist’s calligraphy
• Artist’s seal on box, cloth, and bowl
• Original paperwork & biography
• Protective cloth
The bowl features the classic milky-white Hagi glaze with natural crackling and warm clay tones typical of high-quality Hagi ware. It has a beautiful texture and sits well in the hand—perfect for matcha use or as a collectible display piece.
Condition is excellent, with no chips or damage.
