Lynæs Senior, årg. 1968, skrogmateriale Glasfiber-armeret plast, Blyfri, hjemhavn Svendborg Runde Lystbådehavn 184, The Lynæs Senior 18' is a wide and very stable and safe boat. Svend Billesbølle did a circumnavigation in a Lynæs Senior.
The width also makes the boat windward (turning against the wind direction when heeled). That's why this Lynæs Senior is rigged with a bowsprit, so the sail balance is ideal. And the boat can stay on course with a lashed rudder.
The current owner, a retired master with a family of boatbuilders, has had the boat since 1988 and is not selling it because of its age, but because of his own age.
The boat is very well maintained and has been thoroughly restored and renewed over the years on hull, rigging, sails, propeller, engine installation, rigging and equipment.
There is sleeping space for 4 adults, + a child in the center forward.
There is a 2-burner gas system that complies with Danish Maritime Authority regulations.
The accommodation is furnished with many drawers and folding tables, and plenty of stowage space.
There is approx. 80 liters of fresh water in the bag and a hand pump at the sink.
12 volt electric lighting and plugs in the cockpit.
There is a DAB+ radio with CD and Bluetooth.
There are 3 anchors, moorings and fenders.
The refurbished "Vire 7" engine replaced the original "Vire BVR" in 2016 and comes with plenty of new and used spare parts for many years of operation.
The propeller is calculated by Korsør Propeller, and the shaft, stern tube bearing and gasket are renewed.
A frame sail, consisting of mainsail and jib is from 2019, as is the furling forestay.
Other sails are older but in good condition: 1 mainsail, 1 jib with furling lines, 1 storm jib, 1 genoa for furling forestay, 1 light genoa with furling lines (can be left without stay), 1 small jib with furling lines.
Included is a boat trolley, support trestles and cleats.
There is a collection of old Danish nautical charts on board, so just get on board and sail off on new adventures.
