Bought in Germany as it wasn't available in Denmark. Last offers I saw in Denmark were at around 12,500 kr. Warranty until October 2026. Included are:
- original Thunderbolt 3 and power cables;
- two front panel lock keys (only one visible at the photo as the ther one was in the front panel);
- allen key for removing side panels (one of the screws has a slightly irregular hexagon head but it does not have negative influence on anything);
- HDD and SSD mounting screws;
- original purchase receipt.
This Thunderbay 8 Flex comes with two bonuses: a FireWire PCIe card and a Noctua 120mm fan. Thanks to the latter, the system is quieter than with stock fan. With these additions, its retail value is over 13,000 kr.
The enclosure is in a very good condition. I used for backup with 4 HDDs and 4 SSDs, as well as a connection hub for older FireWire devices (hence the FireWire card installed). All my backups are on NAS now and all old devices are running via FW/TB adapter, so there is no need to keep this otherwise great device. The aggregated speed and capacity of RAIDed modern hard and solid state drives works great in Thunderbay 8 Flex in combination with any Mac computer. It's also secure and intuitive.
The enclosure comes with unused 3-year SoftRAID premium license (the sticker with the key is on the bottom of the enclosure).
