A 90s touring/hybrid frame with front and rear rack mounts, additional fork mounts, and a slightly longer wheelbase for extra pannier and heel clearance if needed.
It’s a really well-made and relatively lightweight frame/build overall. It can be used year-round, with fender mounts and a chainguard mount. It has surprisingly wide chainstays for its time, with a special, nicely shaped design that allows for very wide tires. Currently fitted with 35 mm tires, and on these rims it would probably go up to 45 mm, but I’d guess it could take at least 55–60 mm on other rims. I measured approximately 20 mm of clearance on each side of the tire at the chainstays. Fork and seatstay clearances are similarly generous.
This was my second build since getting into bikes, and I’m selling it because I’ve moved on to new projects. It’s a rare one, and I’d love for someone to appreciate it as a chill but special ATB that can handle city streets, gravel paths and forest rides, or be packed up for touring.
Rides super smoothly. Freshly built with many new parts, fully serviced, and only ridden for a few short test rides for adjustments. Frame and components have been freshly polished and treated for protection.
The frame has some signs of age, including scratches, paint chips and general cosmetic wear, as you would expect from a bike of this age. These are part of its original character, and the overall condition is very good.
