The camera has a 12 MP image sensor and 18x optical zoom, producing a maximum image size of 4000 × 3000 pixels. It supports JPEG capture as well as RAW, and can record JPEG + RAW simultaneously. It also shoots HD video at 1280 x 720 resolution with stereo sound using the AVCHD Lite (MPEG-4/H.264) codec. Unlike many other digital cameras, the FZ35 allows you to use optical zoom while recording video. Besides, the FZ35 has a useful range of exposure modes — auto, Program AE, aperture and shutter priority and manual. Its lens exhibits no distortion at either end of the zoom range. The camera handles flare particularly well, snaring bright, well-coloured and sharp shots. The exposure systems are very accurate.
Sold with additional accessories: camera bag, extra rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 1x UV filter, 1x polarizing filter, and an unopened 8 GB microSD card with adapter.
