First edition. A5 Press. 2006. Card board book safe, 36 x 27 x 4 cm. The box has a lid that can be opened by sliding the top to one side. There is a map inside with cut out holes showing hidden locations in central Stockholm. An essay by Peter Cornell printed on five leaves is attached to a card board with a large decorative staple. The box also contains three poster series, totaling 15 posters. Unfolded they measure 77 x 56 cm each. In the bottom of the box there is a sliding lid hiding a guide to the locations of secret book safes in the Stockholm Public Library. 550 copies made. Fine condition.. The poster series presents different projects by the artist. One serie depicts the Stockholm Public Library and the placement of book safes containing keys to locked spaces in the city, as well as a photo of a break in to such a place and a special image of broken pad locks. Another serie depicts the assembly of a collapsible canoe for use in the Stockholm sewage system. A third poster serie depicts an unauthorized hut built by the artist right by one of the bussiest metro stations in Stockholm. Interiors, exteriors, peep holes, The hut was built over a manhole so the artist could reach it by his collapsible canoe through the sewage system. Adams is a street artist best known for his secret rooms built in public spaces. One example is a habitable room built below the tracks at the Central Station in Copenhagen. Others are illegal houses built by the Spree river in Berlin and at a train station in Åbo, Finland.
