Originally developed for the adidas HALFTIME building in Germany, the HALFTIME chair was designed to possess the same robust and flexible properties as the building itself. The moulded beech veneer seat and back are riveted directly onto the steel tube frame, creating a resilient stackable chair with a clear expression that perfectly balances lightness, strength and functionality. Based on the desire to create an extremely strong and durable chair that could last generations and would be versatile enough to be used in a wide range of contexts, HALFTIME's suitability ranges from institutions and factories to cafés and boardrooms. Cobe designed the HALFTIME chair in collaboration with Danish design brand HAY.
