Højttaler, Technics, SB-R1, passiv, 300 W, God, These Technics SB-R1 speakers have served as my reference speakers as an AV journalist. I sell them due to space constrains in my stock.
Now they can be yours for around €8.000
Its a rare opportunity to acquire a set of these sophisticated speakers, which are rarely seen on the market. They were introduced in 2015 as part of Technics Reference class system.
Based on the “Point Sound Source” concept, they ensure incredible precision in sound imaging and excellent wide dispersion. The unique flat coaxial two-way driver system combines midrange and tweeter units, creating a focused soundstage.
The cabinet is constructed with a 50mm thick front baffle and eight layers of MDF in the side panels, reducing unwanted vibrations and ensuring a solid, resonance-free structure.
The black high-gloss finish is achieved through a meticulous process of multiple layers of lacquer and polishing.
These speakers deliver an exceptionally wide frequency response, from 20 Hz up to 100 kHz, showcasing the best of Japanese craftsmanship.
The long-throw woofer design, featuring Technics’ unique Symmetrical Surround Technology (SST), delivers deep, precise, and powerful bass with minimal distortion.
The speakers are in good condition, with light surface scratches in the black lacquer, which can, of course, be polished out. I have the original accessories, including spikes with cups, support pads, and jumper cables.
This model was discontinued when Technics moved its production to Malaysia.
