Aleksandr Manamïs is shrouded in a certain level of mystery. The Copenhagen-based brand aims to remain anonymous, not disclosing whether the name belongs to the designer or is just a generalist homage. The goal being to let the men’s and women’s clothing collections shine without being overshadowed by a name, a story, or any star power.
What’s for sure: The moody, gender-neutral basics are crafted with the utmost care and quality, resulting in layerable (occasionally avant-garde) garments that easily flow into an existing wardrobe. Not that you’d have to stray outside of the collection—those with a pension for variants of grays, blacks, and creams will feel right at home in Manamïs.
