Cards are the same size as a standard size deck of playing cards. The cards are made of nice quality card stock. Each card has 6 slots cut into it so you can interlock them and build interesting structures and towers. There are a total of 56 cards in the box, 54 of them each have a different photograph of what Charles Eames and his wife called 'good things." On the back of each card is a gold star-like design. Of the remaining cards, one has a paragraph of info about Charles Eames (in German) on one side and Ravensburger advertising on the other. The 2nd card is the equivalent of a "title card" of the game and has pictures suggesting possible creations using the cards on the opposite side. Both of the non-photo cards have slots cut into them so they too can be used for building
