Here we present an original neo-naïve oil-on-canvas work by one of the leading Georgian artists of our time. Little Girl.
A round-faced girl stares out at the viewer with wide, amber eyes — direct, unblinking and faintly unsettling. Her face fills almost the entire canvas, appearing oversized and moon-like against a warm golden halo and flat turquoise background. Two white ribbon bows anchor her dark pigtails. Her red dress with a neat white collar speaks of childhood formality, but her expression speaks of something altogether less certain.
