Description:
The historic Costes armchair created for the first time in 1984, marked the beginning of the collaboration between the designer Philippe Starck and Driade and the consecration of the then unknown designer in Italy. Designed for the Parisian café of the same name, now disappeared, it owes its timeless success to the absoluteness of its shape: an enveloping wooden shell and three strongly inclined legs.
Structure in black painted tubular steel, shell in curved plywood with finishes in mahogany, ebonized oak, gray oak, natural ebony or bamboo. Padding in polyurethane foams with fixed cover in black or light leather. Indoor use.
