Vintage 70’a Original Raleigh Tourist de Luxe , made Made in England, Rod Brake Model
Beautiful original Nottingham-made Raleigh Tourist de Luxe in dark green with original rod brake system and Sturmey-Archer 3-speed hub.
This is a genuine old English roadster with nearly all original parts still intact:
• Original frame and paint
• Original rod brake system
• Original Sturmey-Archer 3-speed shifter and hub
• Original chaincase
• Original handlebars, grips and lighting
• Original Raleigh details and decals
The bicycle rides beautifully and has an incredibly smooth mechanical feel typical of older English-built Raleighs.
Recent maintenance:
• Brakes serviced and adjusted
• New tyres
• Rear luggage carrier replaced due to corrosion
• Original saddle but it has been punctured by a another bikes brake leaver. I can replace is it you wish with a newer saddle type(free) or I also have a brand new Brooks Letaher Saddle(1000kr extra)
The bike has honest age and patina consistent with its age, but remains in remarkably preserved condition overall. Chrome, paint and components present very well for an original survivor bicycle.
A rare and increasingly hard-to-find example, especially in this condition and originality.
