Description
Elegantly shaped waste pot, also known as zha dou, featuring a flared mouth, waisted neck, globular belly and slightly splayed foot. The entire exterior is densely painted in famille rose enamels with the classic 'hundred flowers' motif – peonies, chrysanthemums, lotus and other blossoms interwoven with leaves and stems, covering the surface without any blank space, symbolizing prosperity and abundance. The rim and foot are accented with fine gilded borders, while the interior is glazed in plain white, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship and vibrant colours.
