Guitar is all solid Honduran Mahogany with an ebony fretboard and has only been played a few times since 2022, when I had it handmade by Dowina Guitars in Bratislava, Slovakia.
I paid 14,000 DKK new.
The Dowina Tribute to Mahogany GAC is a celebration of the tonal warmth and vintage character that only a full mahogany guitar can offer. Built with solid Honduran mahogany for the top, back, and sides, this Grand Auditorium cutaway model delivers a rich, earthy voice with excellent midrange presence and dynamic sensitivity—ideal for singer-songwriters and fingerstyle players alike.
The open pore satin finish allows the wood to resonate naturally, while elegant ebony binding and maple/ebony purfling add a refined visual contrast. The khaya mahogany neck, reinforced with wenge, is paired with an ebony fingerboard featuring offset dot inlays for a modern touch. Finished with Grover tuners and supplied in a Dowina hard case, this model combines honest tonewood beauty with Dowina’s signature attention to craftsmanship—making it a true tribute to the voice of mahogany.
