This collection contains 380 full-color illustrations of sports movie posters spread over 80 pages. It covers 30 different sports, with one-half of the book devoted to baseball, boxing and football. It also includes real life sports heroes (such as Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, who ventured into film) and non-sports films that included a memorable sports scene. It contains a huge percentage of all the sports movie posters known from before 1950! This is the original first edition from 1997, and it will never be reprinted.
