A remarkable bonsai of the Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergii), rare Corticosa variety. This cultivar is especially admired for its cork-bark texture, which develops at an earlier age than standard black pines, giving the tree the appearance of great age and character.
This specimen features a compact, powerful trunk with rugged bark and natural movement, topped with dense clusters of dark green needles. Already showing excellent maturity, it has the presence of a true collector’s piece.
The Corticosa variety is highly sought-after in bonsai for its ability to display the qualities of an ancient pine much earlier than other cultivars. This makes it both a striking display tree and a valuable addition to any serious collection.
