Borovik born in Leningrad
The artist and teacher.
In 1968-74 he studied at the painting faculty of the I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Graduated from the Institute for the workshop of A. A. Mylnikov, thesis - sketches of the painting "Stages of revolutionary struggle in Russia" for the Central Museum of V. I. Lenin in Moscow, awarded the qualification of artist-painter, teacher. In 1974-77. engaged in the same in graduate school (completed the project of painting the Palace of sports games SO "Zenith" architect Morozov).
Since 1977 he has been teaching at the I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, in the workshop of Yu.M. Neprintsev. Had more than 100 exhibitions, including 5 personal: Kronstadt (1979), Kolpino (1989), Fort Erie (Canada, 1996), St. Petersburg (1999), in the halls of the Academy of Arts, Daegu (Korea, 2000).
Borovik is an artist of a wide creative range. He is subject to various genres of fine art such as easel painting, portrait, still life and landscape. In each genre, his attitude to the creation of the work is morally responsible and aesthetically consonant with the traditions of Russian and European art schools of classical and modern painting. In this sense, his creative experience in the portrait genre is interesting. His portraits are always inherent in the living characteristic and internal state of a person, his experiences and reflections are not said, but guessed in the images.
Borovik’s creativity is distinguished by lyricism and deep penetration into the surrounding world of spirituality and chastity of nature, love for the people he depicts.
His works are in museums in Russia, in private collections abroad: Finland, Poland, Germany, France, England, Italy, Australia, Canada, USA, South Korea, China.
