Tokai Steel Guitar Art. No. 540 - Made in Japan circa 1970.
This was the first acoustic guitar series produced by Tokai. The wood of the fingerboard and the bridge looks amazing.

The sound is Folky and also great for Blues and Country. It has new medium tension nylon strings. It can also be used with extra light steel strings (although I haven't tried them on this guitar because it sounds great with nylon strings). Some Japanese guitars from the '60s could handle both type of strings, like Yamaha's Dynamic Guitars and this Tokai. In fact, these Tokai guitars were probably inspired by Yamaha's Dynamic Guitars.
