Sync
KMS handles 3 kinds of time format conversions with variable signal routing system :
-SOURCES IN: sync 24 or 48 clock PPQ / Midi clock / tape clock
- DESTINATIONS OUT: 1 tape out / 2 sync out / 2 sync out
Time formats
some considerations about the supported time formats:
- Midi clock is essential to sync classic drum box to modern setups, for this the KMS is a perfect bridge from sequencer clock to drum box sync.
- Sync its most peculiar function is the switch between 24 and 48 PPQ, useful if you want to sync 48 PPQ Korg drum machines (like sister Kpr-77) to 24 PPQ Roland standard (like tr-606 or tr-808) or vice versa.
- tape sync: this is now a pretty obsolete standard used by tape deck multi-track recorder.
