Elegant early 19th-century Regency pedestal table in flame mahogany. This versatile "metamorphic" piece is designed with a swivel-top mechanism, allowing it to function as a slim console/side table or unfold into a large square surface.
Scottish Regency fold-over pedestal table, specifically designed as either a card table or a tea table.
Design: Attributed to the Scottish style of William Trotter, featuring a beautiful waisted pedestal and a sturdy quadruped base with original bun feet.
Mechanism: The top rotates 90 degrees to reveal a hidden storage compartment (originally for cards or tea) before unfolding.
Versatility: Perfect for use as a hallway console, a dedicated card/games table, or an occasional dining table for four.
