For sale is a beautiful King Seiko 5626-5040 Hi-Beat automatic, produced in October 1972, during the golden era of Japanese mechanical watchmaking.
This reference is part of the renowned 56KS series, known for its precision, elegant proportions and high-quality finishing. The watch features the classic Hi-Beat automatic movement beating at 28,800 bph, one of Seiko’s most respected mechanical calibres of the period.
The watch has recently undergone a complete overhaul and full service. The movement was fully disassembled, cleaned, serviced and carefully reassembled, ensuring excellent mechanical condition. The service is documented in the photos, showing the watch fully disassembled during the process.
The case features the distinctive 5040 cushion case design, a very characteristic King Seiko shape from the early 1970s. The dial is clean and elegant with applied indices, Chronometer text and the KS Hi-Beat signature, making this a highly collectible example of the King Seiko lineage.
Overall this is a very attractive and honest vintage King Seiko, ready to wear and enjoy.
