Unique Fat Bike – Ready for Sand, Snow, Trails & Adventure
Selling my Cannondale fat CAAD 2 fat bike, a super versatile and eye-catching bike that stands out anywhere. The 4.8-inch wide tires give incredible grip and stability, making it perfect for sand, snow, ice, mud, bikepacking, and rough terrain. It’s also surprisingly comfortable for normal trail riding and city cruising, with the extra-thick tires acting as natural suspension.
It is a size M (I am 180 cm, and it fits me well), and it has a 1x12 SRAM Eagle GX drivetrain.
Some of the recent upgrades/maintenance:
- new Schwalbe almighty tires in October 2024 - stud ready (perfect for ice riding) and tubeless (no more punctures)
- Metallic brake pads and rotors in autumn 2024
- new crankbrothers dropper post in autumn 2024
- new freehub body, new front chainring, new chain, and a fresh derailleur adjustment in October 2025
It needs a new cassette - in the top 3 gears, it has some slippage and some problems going into 12th gear.
It also needs a brake bleed - the brakes feel too soft
Has some visual imperfections on the paint, particularly the brake cables rubbing on the fork
