45x30 cm glicée photograph printed with pigment ink on Hahnemüle Photo Silk Baryta paper, stamped on the left and hand-signed on the back of the photograph.
The use of Hahnemüle paper combined with pigment ink guarantees museum-quality workmanship, allowing it to remain unchanged over time.
Burano is part of a photographic study in which the urban landscape and vernacular architecture are treated as visual devices, straddling the line between documentation and abstraction.
The façades of the houses – traditionally perceived as postcard images of Burano – are reduced here to clear fields of colour: pink, yellow, blue and green construct a geometric rigour that dialogues with the language of contemporary design.
