The Reolink Go Plus is a versatile 4G LTE surveillance camera designed for installation almost anywhere with cellular network coverage eliminating the need for Wi-Fi or fixed broadband. This updated model features a convenient USB-C connection for enhanced charging flexibility.
The Reolink Go Plus surveillance camera offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing installation in virtually any location with a working 4G LTE network, thus removing the dependency on Wi-Fi or fixed broadband. This updated model now features a modern USB-C interface for improved connectivity and charging.
This Reolink Go Plus model boasts a sharp 2560 x 1440 resolution with a 95° horizontal field of view. It incorporates a passive infrared (PIR) sensor with intelligent motion detection, capable of distinguishing between people and vehicles. This advanced detection significantly enhances the relevance of alerts, ensuring you are notified only for significant events. Additional features include 16X digital zoom and support for the efficient H.265 video compression standard. The camera also benefits from a USB-C charging port, available on both the camera body and directly on the battery, allowing operation even while charging.
Setup is quick and straightforward: simply charge the battery, insert your operator's nanoSIM card (with PIN removed beforehand), a microSD card, and then the battery. The camera powers on automatically, after which you download the Reolink app (Android/iOS) and follow the instructions. The Reolink Go Plus operates independently of fixed broadband, Wi-Fi, or mains power, making it an excellent alternative to traditional trail cameras. Its only limitations are its IP rating, your imagination, and mobile network coverage, allowing you to connect to your camera anytime, anywhere.
The Reolink Go Plus records footage to a separately purchased microSD card, supporting up to 128 GB. It is powered by a robust 7800 mAh battery and is also compatible with the optional Reolink Solar 2 solar panel for continuous charging.
Reolink Cloud service, launched in late April 2022, offers cloud storage options for select Reolink camera models. Users can choose from Basic, Standard, and Premier Plans. The Basic Plan, currently free, can be activated for one camera and provides 7 days of recording history (up to 1 GB) in the cloud. Standard and Premier plans are paid services offering extended recording history, support for multiple cameras, more storage, and enhanced alert notifications, depending on the camera. Cloud storage is optional and functions alongside microSD card recording.
The average battery life of the Reolink Go Plus camera varies with usage, potentially lasting over a month. Factors significantly impacting battery duration include operating temperature, mobile network signal strength, camera activity, and the frequency of motion detections. For optimal performance, a subscription with a fixed monthly fee and unlimited data is recommended, as data usage depends on the configured resolution and bitrate. Please note that the Reolink Go Plus requires a SIM card and a cellular plan to function.
