Vintage Magnus Olesen Cantilever Chairs – Set of 4
Designed by Rud Thygesen (b. 1932) and Johnny Sørensen (b. 1944), these iconic cantilever chairs grew out of their early collaboration with Magnus Olesen. After graduating from the Danish School of Arts, Crafts and Design in 1966 and launching their studio the same year, the duo helped define a new era of laminated Danish furniture. By 1971, their vision took shape in a sleek, sculptural series that fused technical innovation with sharp Scandinavian minimalism.
This set of four carries a beautiful vintage patina. The woven seats show gentle sun-bleaching in places, adding character and an effortless, time-earned look that only decades can create. Structurally solid with light signs of age, they embody that cool, authentic Danish modern vibe.
