the game literally states at the beginning: "This is not a game. This is not a movie. This is a piece of immersive theatre with many tangled threads…." With that, it succeeds beautifully. No, your actions and movements through the house may not affect who the killer is or how the events play out, but they WILL affect your understanding of them... each of the seven characters you can choose to follow will experience the same story from different perspectives, with their own secrets to hide from the others. Alliances are formed and broken, but you don't get the full story until you've rewound time and seen every interaction from every perspective. You can choose to follow one character at a time from beginning to end, or you can pause and move freely around the house like a ghost to see what's happening at one particular moment. It's very novel, and very cool IF you're into story games. The graphics are a little bare-bones (but the aesthetic fits the small nature of the game), some of the voice acting stands out as over-the-top, and it's a short game with no replay value once you've seen all of the storylines play out... but it's still a solid 4-5 hour experience for those who can appreciate games that just want to tell a fun story and try to do it a little differently. Worth the price of a movie ticket!
