Amazingly good little camera

I haven't bothered with anything but the default VGA-ish mode and that's great. Even well lit interior shots are fine. Dim ones get too grainy. AAA battery lasts very well (150 shots plus a couple of movie clips?), pics not lost when it does run out, great capacity of 170 shots. No viewfinder means it's guesswork what you're going to get but you soon get better at it. Loading to the PC is easy (Win 2000 & 98SE) and having jpgs of around 120k each makes editing & cropping quick. Upping the contrast helps a lot. Not a replacement camera but a great extra one that you can carry everywhere. And printed photos are pretty good up to 3x2". One thing - the manual is totally wrong about how to clear out the pics from the camera: you actually get to "ALL" with the mode button then press the Select button (NOT the shutter) 2 or 3 times to delete them.
