Varebeskrivelse
Stand: Brugt - men i god stand
1957 Fender Precision Bass with the early Telecaster style headstock and dash "-" serial number on neck plate. ARTIST OWNED Ex David Coverdale White Snake, ex Stealers Wheel, ex Gonzalez. Fender Factory refinish from blonde to "Natural" with factory refinish code 2063 stamped into both the pickup cavity and neck end. "1-57" pencil date visible under the pickup cavity stamp and faint pencil date at neck end. Pickup, knobs, bridge and saddles appear original.
ARTIST OWNED by prolific bassist DeLisle McKenzie Harper since he purchased the bass in 1977 from the famous Top Gear Music shop on Denmark Street in London. One of two vintage Fender basses I have available from him for sale here. Harper famously stars in the music video for Stealers Wheel's global mega-hit "Stuck In The Middle With You" which was the song played for the main scene in Quentin Tarantino's debut film, "Reservoir Dogs" and is the theme songs for the hit Netflix series "Gracie & Frankie." Harper performed and recorded with many big artists in the 70's and 80s. He was the bassist and backing vocals for Deep Purple & Whitesnake singer David Coverdale on his solo album White Snake, which led to the creation of Whitesnake. His playing was sampled on the Everlast hit album "White Ford Sings The Blues." Harper was a member of Juicy Lucy alongside Micky Moody - the band had an immediate hit song "Who Do You Love?" He was also a member of Gonzalez and had a chart hit "Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet" where he features in the music video with the other Precision bass of his we have. He was the bass player for American blues guitar legend Freddie King, one of the "three kings" of blues guitar alongside Albert King and B.B. King. Harper was a member of Olympic Runners who had a chart hit "Put The Music Where Your Mouth Is" and did the theme song for the movie "The Bitch" starring Joan Collins.
Price is fixed. Collection from Ringkøbing or I can post same day payment is received or hand deliver. It will be packed extremely well with love and care. I am selling off my entire collection, so see my other listings for more rare guitars.
