Stand: Brugt - men i god stand
Tribute to the famous Rodent-style hard-clipping distortion.
The Fancy Aristocat, like the Rat distortion it is based off, blurs the lines between distortion, overdrive and fuzz. It feels just as much at home in dirty blues rock as it does in droning doom metal and covers lots of ground in between.
An authentic LM308 chip gives it the signature distortion sounds that starts to sag past noon at halfway on the gain pot. Adding to the versatility of the original, the Aristocat adds Hair and Fat controls, as well as a 3-way clipping switch. Hair controls the top end in conjunction with the tone (originally Filter) knob to smooth out the distortion without making the pedal sound muffled if needed. Fat acts as pre-gain bass control and helps to tighten or fatten your crunch sound. Lastly, the switch takes you from classic silicon, to Turbo-style LED to asymmetrical silicon/LED clipping, changing the character of distortion and increasing output levels if needed.
Topmount jacks, quality components, handpainted enclosure, custom etched PCB.
Sold as B-stock due to issues with the paint. The finish looks coarse/bubbly and the artwork appears yellowed. These visual imperfections do not affect the tone or functionality of course.
