1993-1994 First year G&L L-5500 5-String Bass in stunning Honeyburst. This the Fender brand Leo Fender created after selling Fender to Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), naming it George & Leo (G&L) after his long-time friend employee George Fullerton who is credited with inventing the first solid body electric guitars for Fender. This bass is an absolute time capsule and case queen! Extremely low serial number with signature from Mrs. Leo Fender on the COA. This bass looks virtually unplayed with the font on the EMG humbuckers completely intact. Protective film on back cover still present! Finest example in the world and the lowest known serial number according to the G&L registry. Ash body, EMG 40 DC Humbuckers, EMG BTC System tone circuit. World class components and build quality.
