Hydraulic Drafting Table - Swedish Industrial Design
Includes the hydraulic stand, table measuring 150x100cm, lamp - no drafting equipment.
I do not have the full provenance of the table. Most Nike drafting tables I've seen online has been from the 50's, but this is clearly a later design, and a rough guess puts it somewhere in the 70's - 80's. Originally sold by Ritbordsservice B. Karlberg AB, probably to the previous owner, who passed away. Bought from one of their family members and picked up from Karljohansvern (former) Naval Station in Norway, so it probably has some relation to the naval museum.
It is in quite good shape, the hydraulic system works without problems. There is some markings from removed surface rust from the piston, as pictured, but it does not hinder function.
This is probably the coolest item of anything I own, and I'm reluctant to get rid of it. But it is at minimum halfway through a decade+ of not having a space to be used, so it is best to give it a new - hopefully more regularly loving - home.
