The Ewon Flexy 3-Port USB Extension Card is a vital accessory designed to significantly enhance the connectivity of Ewon Flexy gateways, providing three additional USB 2.0 ports for expanded device integration. It is an ideal solution for OEMs and system integrators needing to connect small automation devices via USB.
The Ewon Flexy 3-Port USB Extension Card is engineered to seamlessly integrate with Ewon Flexy 10x, 20x series, and 205 base units, offering a robust solution for expanding their connectivity. This extension card provides three additional USB Type A female ports, enabling users to connect a wider array of peripheral devices and small automation equipment directly to their Flexy gateway.
Designed for versatility, this card boosts the Ewon Flexy's capabilities by supporting up to 10 USB connections in total (when combined with existing ports). It is particularly well-suited for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators who require additional USB interfaces for programming or interacting with small automation devices that rely on USB for communication.
Operating as a USB 2.0 version at full speed, the extension card ensures reliable data transfer. Each of the three USB ports is equipped with its own 500mA current limit, while the entire board maintains a global current limit of 500mA, ensuring stable power delivery to connected devices. All ports are managed collectively, enabling or disabling simultaneously for simplified control.
The card features a durable electronic extension board housed within a plastic front plate, designed for easy insertion into compatible Ewon Flexy units. It includes four intuitive LEDs: one for global status indication and one for each individual port, providing clear operational feedback. Engineered to perform in demanding industrial environments, it boasts an operating temperature range of -25 °C to +60 °C and a storage temperature range of -30 °C to +70 °C.
While offering enhanced connectivity, the card maintains a limited Earth GND isolation of 500V due to the inherent design of USB connectors. Each unit is carefully packaged in an ESD plastic bag within a cardboard box, accompanied by legal references in paper format, ensuring safe delivery and compliance.
