The book is hardback, published 1973, in very good condition for its age, minimal damage to the original dustcover, no markings or inscriptions on any of the pages.
However, There is discolouration to the back side of dustcover and inside back side of dustcover- Antique coffee stain?
This does not detract at all from This fascinating book, as Said, all pages are in “as new “ condition.
The book covers British pewter and shows many plates, spoons, cans, tankards and Jugs, also with marks.
PEWTER is defined in the book as an alloy of tin and lead.
Sone early PEWTER was Copper and tin.
Brittania metal is tin and antimony, first produced from about 1830.
16 colour pictures and 102 Black White pictures.
