The Reolink Go Plus Camo surveillance camera, featuring a distinctive camouflage pattern, offers unparalleled flexibility for installation in almost any location. Its operation only requires a functional 4G LTE network, eliminating the need for a wireless network or broadband connection. This updated model now includes a modern USB-C interface for enhanced connectivity.
The Reolink Go Plus boasts an impressive resolution of 2560 x 1440 with a 95° horizontal field of view, ensuring clear and detailed surveillance footage. Equipped with a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and intelligent motion detection, the camera can accurately identify people and vehicles, providing more relevant alerts. Additional features include 16x digital zoom and support for the efficient H.265 video compression standard. The camera also benefits from a USB-C charging port, available on both the camera body and directly on the battery, allowing for continuous operation when connected to a power source.
Setup for the Reolink Go Plus is remarkably simple and quick. Users just need to charge the battery, insert a nanoSIM card from their preferred operator (PIN code must be removed beforehand), install a microSD card, and then the battery. The camera powers on automatically, after which the Reolink app (available for Android/iOS) guides through the final steps. This camera operates independently of fixed broadband, Wi-Fi, or mains power, making it an excellent alternative to traditional trail cameras, accessible anytime, anywhere, limited only by its IP rating and mobile network coverage.
The Reolink Go Plus records footage to a separately purchased microSD card, supporting capacities up to 128 GB. It is powered by a robust 7800 mAh battery, offering extended operation. For continuous power in remote locations, the camera is also compatible with the separately available Reolink Solar 2 solar panel.
Reolink offers an optional cloud storage service for selected camera models, launched in late April 2022. Users can choose from Basic, Standard, and Premier plans. The Basic Plan, currently free, allows for 7 days of recording history (max 1 GB) for one camera. Standard and Premier plans provide longer recording history, support for multiple cameras, increased storage, and enhanced alert notifications, depending on the camera model. Cloud storage is optional and functions alongside local microSD card recording.
The average battery life of the Reolink Go Plus camera varies with usage, potentially lasting over a month. Factors such as operating temperature, mobile network signal strength, camera activity, and the frequency of motion detections significantly influence battery duration. For optimal performance, a mobile subscription with a fixed monthly fee and no data cap is recommended, as data consumption depends on the configured resolution and bitrate. Please note that the Reolink Go Plus requires a SIM card and an active subscription to function.
