Review:
This is not a two way but a three way speaker with an internal 8 inch woofer firing downwards into a ported cavity which makes placing close to a wall less of a problem though requiring correct stands with holes for the port at the bottom.
This might be the best sounding speaker playing metal music and still sound good that i have yet to have tried. Smooth mids, great highs and great tight bass.
Makes guitars sound real and meaty, cymbals, snares and double bass drums sound impactful and true to life. Voices are also fantastic on these!, In fact ALL type music sound great on these which is very rare. Imaging is top notch.
KEF Kube 103/3 Equalizer:
The KUBE is a low-level EQ. KEF referred to it as a 65hZ Shelving EQ in some literature. It has a specific contour built-in that is tailored to the speaker characteristics, and specific to the speaker model. It enables you to optimise the low frequency sound to your preferences.
