The EnGenius ECW336 is an Indoor Wi-Fi 6E 4x4 Access Point with Cloud Management, offering tri-band speeds of up to 4,800 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2,400 Mbps on 5 GHz, and 1,200 Mbps on 2.4 GHz for enhanced performance and capacity.
The ECW336 Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) 4x4 indoor wireless access point with cloud management leverages the newly approved 6 GHz band. This enables the latest generation of Wi-Fi 6E devices to achieve significantly higher speeds, lower latency, and increased capacity, making it ideal for demanding network environments.
Designed with a 3-way Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax architecture, this access point is also backward compatible with older Wi-Fi standards. It delivers supercharged speeds across its tri-bands: up to 4,800 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2,400 Mbps on 5 GHz, and 1,200 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. A 5GbE LAN port ensures higher throughput and supports 802.3at and 48V PoE input for flexible installation over 100 meters, while WPA3 and WPA2-AES authentication provide robust security.
The EnGenius ECW336 is fully cloud-managed, supporting both AP and Mesh modes. This allows for quick device registration and configuration, along with remote monitoring and troubleshooting, all accessible from anywhere via the EnGenius Cloud app. Its wireless mesh mode simplifies setup, optimizes signals, and offers self-healing capabilities for a resilient network.
Key hardware features include one 10/100/1000/2500/5000 Mbps LAN port compatible with 802.3at PoE+, and a DC connector for alternative power. It is equipped with 4 internal omnidirectional antennas: 5 dBi for the 2.4 GHz band, 6 dBi for the 5 GHz band, and 5 dBi for the 6 GHz band, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Technically, the ECW336 adheres to IEEE 802.11ax standards across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz, and is compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. It supports concurrent tri-radio operation and features Tx Beamforming, 4x4:4 radio streams, and both SU-MIMO and MU-MIMO for efficient data transmission to multiple devices simultaneously.
Advanced network functionalities include support for HE 20/40/80/160 MHz channel bandwidth, OFDMA radio technology, and various modulation schemes up to 1024-QAM. It can handle up to 511 concurrent users per radio, offers 8 SSIDs per band with 802.1q VLAN tagging, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP 802.1d), and Quality of Service (IEEE 802.11e, WMM). SNMP v1, v2c, v3, and 802.11r/k fast roaming are also supported, alongside client isolation for enhanced security.
The device operates within a temperature range of 0ºC to 40ºC and can be stored from -40ºC to 80ºC, with operating and storage humidity at 90% or less (non-condensing). Its compact dimensions are 20.5 cm (width) x 20.5 cm (length) x 3.32 cm (height), and it weighs 630g. The package includes the access point, two roof mount bases, a screw kit for mounting, and a quick installation guide.
