When launched, the Dr. Glob was a small revolution - the first matte plastic chair in a world still obsessed with glossy surfaces. Starck reimagined plastic as something architectural, sensual, and intelligent.
The French designer turned everyday objects into cultural statements - from interiors and hotels to timeless design icons. With Dr. Glob, he brought emotion and irony into industrial design, helping Kartell reclaim its avant-garde edge.
