The PS3 works. You can start it, and play games. The Disk is loaded but it doesn't turn. Or read the disk.
It could be a cable, the laser or the whole disk reader.
I have a PS3 Super Slim and hence am not in the mood to fix it.
But if you want an PS3 that also reads PS2 Games ( I can give you Lord Of the Rings PS2 too)
Then this is the PS3 you can get for little money.
And patience to fix
