Royal Doulton Alice Series Beswich ‘Gryphon’
Beautiful vintage Alice in Wonderland Series “Gryphon” storybook figurine #2485, designed by Albert Hallam for Beswick/Royal Doulton Pottery and made in England. Issued from 1974-83 and based on the “Alice in Wonderland” story written by Lewis Carroll in 1865, this beautifully modeled and hand-painted ceramic figurine features a fearsome winged gryphon resting by a tree stump. The bottom is fully hallmarked ALICE SERIES “Gryphon” BESWICK, MADE IN ENGLAND, © ROYAL DOULTON TABLEWARE LTD 1974, REGISTRATION APPLIED FOR. This lovely storybook figurine is approximately 9 high and 6 cm wide wide and in great vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and little-to-no surface marks or wear, really nice (please see all photos).
