You never see these exact Rabbit and the moon dishes for sale.
These are late Ming ko-sometsuke Dishes and was exported to Japan where they were used in tea ceremonys Tianqi period (1621-1627)
The one dish to the right are extremely rare because of the painters omission, simply forgot to paint the cavetto cobolt blue and still the dish has gone by inspection and glazed and fired.
I have tracked down these two dishes and provonance: Duran Arte sep 2023 lot of six, not sold, again in marts 2024, not sold. The three plate shows up again at Christies in dec 2024 and again not sold. Two of these were up for sale i august and I got them.
I can say that only because the pictures that was provided at these three auctions, the one with the Omission was one of them at the pictures.
Iam aware that the Japanese at some point made copy of these dishes Arita Ware, but these two are the real Chinese ko-sometsuke Dishes
Marked with six character Chenghua.
Some fritting to the rim, no hair lines cracks, restoration. Measures 20,6 and 21,5 cm
