Stand: Brugt - men i god stand
Probably made at the Zildjian factory in the USA in the 1950s and later fitted with a 1960s stamp, partly hand hammered, distinct rough lathing pattern. It is medium light, easy to play, and delivers both a warm crash and smoky ride cymbal sound with clear stick definition, great bell, 2,004g. This is a great, jazzy 20” A Zildjian, its smoky, vintage sound is not comparable to any modern cymbal, it has that perfect decay in the stick sound that delivers a magic, musical swing, it blends extremely well with smaller bands. No dents or cracks, slight keyhole, three rivets.
You cannot buy any modern cymbals that sound like the 1950s A Zildjians, their musical legacy is heard with drummers like Elvin Jones (he played As on many iconic 1963-64 era recordings), Max Roach, Philly Joe Jones, Buddy Rich, and many others.
