Original P. I. Tchaikovsky scores augmented with additional military brass band and the following period field ordnance pieces, eight and twelve pound bronze cannons with an effective range of eight to nine hundred metres, the range is considerably reduced when firing crapeshot or shrapnel as opposed to solid balls, recorded live at The Ecole Militaire, Paris.
The pandemonic belle effects are a combination of the bells of St. Paul's Cathedral London, Johanneskirche-Luneberg, Germany, St. Basil's Moscow, and the normal orchestral chimes in the symphonic complement.
