"ISM blev grundlagt i 1882 for at fremme vigtigheden af musik og beskytte rettighederne for dem, der arbejder inden for musik. Den beskytter og støtter sine medlemmer ved at give dem ekspertrådgivning, forsikring og specialiserede tjenester samt adgang til et fællesskab af ligesindede professionelle og den status, der følger med at være medlem af en professionel organisation. Oprindeligt kaldet The Incorporated Society of Musicians, skiftede den navn i oktober 2022 for at falde sammen med dens 140-års jubilæum".

Nice condition (the book is from 1904): Bound in black calfskin (full binding) - with blind-printed decorations and gilt English mirror frame on both front and back covers - rich gilt spine decoration + gilt edge borders - super exlibris on front cover - blue front and back cover pair inserted to match the three-sided cut - Bradelind binding - fully illustrated - 20 + 540 pages - bound and signed by bookbinder Muris (see photo) - 13x17.5 cm - The Walter Scott Publishing Co, London, 1906.

"The ISM was founded in 1882 to promote the importance of music and protect the rights of those working in music. It is an independent, non-profit membership organization with nearly 11,000 individual members and over 180 corporate members. It protects and supports its members by providing them with expert advice, insurance and specialized services, as well as access to a community of like-minded professionals and the status that comes with membership in a professional organization. Originally called The Incorporated Society of Musicians, it changed its name in October 2022 to coincide with its 140th anniversary".
