Selling my green label Contax G1 body
The body is 90% functional but defective (issue described below). I’m sure someone can fix it, I just don’t have the time to look into it myself.
The issue has to do with the contacts for the lens. The camera is fully functional without a lens attached, all buttons, dials, LCDs, and other mechanics are working completely fine when there’s no lens attached. However, when there’s a lens attached, the shutter button will no longer fire. The autofocus and manual focus is working - but the curtain won’t open/close.
The cosmetics are fairly good, no large scratches, bumps or anything like that. It’s been very well kept.
I’m not sure what the issue is. Maybe some dirt that gets in the way or a solder that has come loose?
If you’re up for the challenge, you might be able to get you a very cheap green label G1!
