"Ecoalf was born in 2009, both the name and concept of the brand came after the birth of my two sons: Alfredo and Álvaro. I wanted to create a truly sustainable fashion brand and I believed the most sustainable thing to do was to stop using the planet’s natural resources in a careless way to ensure those of the next generation. Recycling could be a solution if we were able to make a new generation of recycled products with the same quality and design as the best non recycled.
Upcycling the Oceans is the main project of the Ecoalf Foundation and undoubtedly the most ambitious one; an unprecedented worldwide adventure that fights against marine waste with the help of the fishing industry. An initiative with an international scope that was born in Spain in 2015 and since then has also been implemented in Thailand, Greece, Italy, France and Egypt. Ecoalf Foundation is currently working on its expansion to other countries in the Mediterranean basin."
