work primarily with acrylic painting on canvas, and I prefer to work with the larger dimensions. I create abstract paintings in both dark and light color – the colors of life in all it’s aspects. I am deeply inspired by the magnificent nature surrounding on the island of Bornholm, and I use the landscapes, atmosphere and light as a starting point in almost all my work. Occasionally I’m inspired by a mood or a feeling. Painting is communicating - it’s a dialogue between the creator and the viewer. As an introvert, I enjoy this dialogue and the freedom of being able to paint intuitively and expressively. That's my style - my characteristic. It is individual how any artwork is perceived and interpreted. It’s a non-static, dynamic reflection, always changing, always showing new perspectives to the viewer. This is the advantage of nonfigurative painting. In order for the work to succeed in its communication, it requires an open mind, imagination and time. I like to give all my artwork a title, but as broadly as possible so that the viewers are free to have their own interpretation. SoMe.
