The Dark Crystal was released in a special 2-disc DVD set by Sony and Jim Henson Home Entertainment in 2007 in honor of the film's 25th anniversary. The DVD features newly created featurettes and audio commentary; the film transfer features digitally restored and remastered picture and sound.
